Hywel's note: you may notice that Restrained Elegance is rather lacking in images of the lovemaking that is the logical conclusion of the stories I write. There's a good reason for that: I've never really found the way to portray explicit sex in photos or videos with and maintain the "Restrained Elegance style". I greatly admire the few photographers who can manage to shoot explicit sex and make it look stylish. Even movies have a hard time showing people having sex and making it look really good. The average porn flick doesn't even get close to the way I want it to look or the feelings I'd want the images to convey. So far I've only found one way to get those images with the style and emotion I want: have it drawn by a particularly talented artist. That's one of the reasons I wanted to do Sigrid's Saga with Brian Tarsis. The vikings were a lusty, earthy and straightforward bunch. I thought a story about them should have the same earthy attitude to sex as the rest of their sagas. So stand by, Sigrid's saga is about to get stuck in, in proper Restrained Elegance style! |
